I guess it's a little too late to ask now since I've got the PCB made and parts ready but has anybody built this?.I have a couple of reverb tanks that are HiZ and want to put them to use.
Let me know.
Thanks

I built one a while ago and it never really worked for me.  Of course that was long before I knew about the impedance matching issues surrounding the use of reverb tanks.

If your PCB uses dual op-amps, you should probably use NE5532 or LM833 dual ops since they can deliver sufficient current to a low impedance load like the input of a reverb tank.  The odds are quite likely that your tank presents a load of less than 1k.

Alternatively, since you have to run a line to the tank anyways, you could always stick a matching transformer in between the PCB and tank, and that might do the trick.  For instance, that 1.5k:8R Radio Shack transformer that folks use for wah inductors would work like a charm if the tank posed a speaker-like impedance.

Thanks for chiming in Mark, the tanks are 200 ohms in/2500 ohms out made by the O.C Electronics Co. now owned by accutronics so I got the specs from them.
The PCB is from Guitar Gadgets(JDs) and uses a TL074.
What do you think?
Thanks again
