Nah, I know what you mean though.  I think at that point, you've start to reach the point of diminishing returns on the benefits of adding more parts directly to the pcb.[/img]

Colin, Alps 'snap in" pots definitely come in 100K A & B taper as well (that is what I use most of). They do make higher, don't know if anyone carries them. Also can special order centre tapped, very useful to save space on stompboxes.
