Hi.
Does anybody has a russian small stone? I have one, and I'm planning to solve that volume loss when on.

Unfortunately, parts layout is different from issue J, wich is always used as the example.

I'm not even sure the schematic is the same.

I've started to trace the russian's schematic, to check it against J's, but until then I'm not gonna desolder any part from it.

If you have solved the volume drop problem out of a black russian small stone, PLEASE HELP ME  !

Thanks!

I had a green reissue and have worked on a black reissue for a friend and the actual circuits are almost identical to the issue J, but they all have different layouts.
On mine and my friends I just traced down and changed R42 and R11 (on JDs reference schematic) to 10k and that did the trick.
But if you really are not sure and do not want to trace down the parts you could always add a simple booster to the input or output to raise the volume.

You were absolutely right! I just wasn't looking carefully.

I replaced
r42 (4k7) with  6k8
r11 (3k3) with 10k

turning r42 higher (say...10k) made it distort a LOT, and also oscillate in one of the colour modes. Replacing r11 and lowering r42 fixed it.

In fact, I now realized it oscillated a little bit when it was stock. Now I can really use both modes.

Thanks!  :D
