I've seen a slew of Rat schems around, but which one is THE ONE?
OR........
does the GGG Rodent come THAT close? I'm thinking about building one as a X-Mas present for someone and want a good one.

I haven't built it, but i hafta believe that Keen + Orman = a good schem.

Assume that the typical trend most companies will follow is to reduce the parts count/cost over time wherever possible to reduce overhead, and reduce the current draw over time to increase product attractiveness to consumers.  Whatever schematic has the biggest parts count and biggest current draw is likely your original item/issue, and whatever has the lowest parts-count and current draw is the most recent.  Which one *nails* the tone you have as your mental reference point is your choice.

I think the main differences is that some have input buffers, some don't have input buffers, some have bipolar buffers, some have fet buffers, etc.

Thanks, guys. I've got Jack's/R.G.'s schem and will work from that.
