I've had enough of this......

I wonder if any of you guys can help me out with these really annoying problems that I have with my marshall JCM2000 DSL 100 amp head....

Basically, i'v been geting more and more concearned about my tone and have developed a love of the sound of my amp with a single fuzz circuit in the chain and nothing in the effects loop.

Obviously, this means that there is no oom in my setup for my other pedals however in my band, i have a use for all of them....
Basically I want to use the effects loop but there is one problem, whenever my marshall effect loop is used, i get a hissing sound and my Line6 DL-4 delay moddeler pops relly loudly whenever any of the switches are steped on (this is strange as they are designed to popless!) The popping only happens with the line6, however the only other types of switch based pedals that i have tried for comparison have all been stock boss pedals....

The other problem (which is by far more serious) is the channel switching.... I have the standard marshall channel footswitch that came with my amp. What happens is this:

The switching between the clean channel and the distorted channel is not instantaneous, and if i were to switch back to clean whilst playing distorted, the amp would switcb back quickly, however 2 seconds later I will hear a very loud 'shunting' sound... The only comparison I can make is between that of a valve amp when the head is shaken and you hear that spring vibration sound, only loud through the speaker, or the sound that a bus makes when it stops and makes that loud hiss....

the amp has been like this since the day I bought it... i though it was something I was doing wrong, however I'm getting the feeling that it's more serious.

Any help you can give me on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Go back to where you bought it with proof of purchase. I don't think that the amp's supposed to do that. I hope for you that they ain't too difficult. If you bought it second hand, now you know why they sold it  :D

Good luck!  :)
