Fuzz factory - a silicon germanium hybrid???

Just wondering is the zvex fuzz factory a silicon germanium fuzz hybrid?
If so does this combination require germaniums to be biased? why the combination?

As a general question though what combination of silicon/germainiums transistors work well in a fuzzface hybrid?

Has all kinda FF hybrid...check out the Multi Face article...
 FF schematics abound around here
 Just look for that feedback resistor...If you see that I think it's a FF type.
