Ansil, co-op for what? Was this the schematic co-op I was talking about in the Schematic Heaven thread? Hope so! I already voted.

As I said before, I'd be happy to join in and do the graphic design.

But I have a few points where I'd like to have some clear answers:

- Will it stay within 'our little group' or will we sell these pedals or kits ?

I think we have a great hobby, but I hardly can't afford it at this rate. If we could make the co-op low- or no-cost or even slightly profitable by selling a few, it would be great.

- Who is to deceide whether a pedal should or shouldn't be bought ?

When we all put our money down for a vintage effect, I can imagine some would not find it very usefull if a vintage treble booster is bought for $ 500,-. Others might not want a delay to be bought from their money.
Voting is nice, but if one does not want his money to go to a booster .. will the other ten ignore him and run off with his money to just go and buy it ?
This point would not be if the co-op would be slightly 'commercial' as in my point above.

In order for it to work properly, this opinion, you need to sell 1. parts kits of the effect that was bought by the Co-op to others 2. and/or sell complete pedals in limited runs. Unless it gets lots of attention. This way the Co-op can afford other pedals without shelling out members money all of the time. Ansil is right. A Treasurer should be elected first by those interested in having a Co-op. Collect a small fee of $5 for those just wishing for schematics and $10 for those wanting boards. Then a board of directors needs to be elected.

A President- to keep things on track and to be the final decision(tie breaking voter)

A VP- to help with Presidential duties and to be there in case he can't perform his duties.

And a 5 person board of directors to listen to the members of the Co-op and discuss what we want. The VP would be the 6 voting member on the board and the Pres would sit on the board, but wouldn't vote unless there needed to be a tie breaker. The theory here is that the VP already is voting in the Presez direction.

From there people can be appointed responsibilities on graphic layouts and schematics if they wish to do them. This is my suggestions and opinions. They were not made to offend anyone. To keep it out of government taxes, it can be non-profit. The point is to get great schematics and projects. Not to start a company. So at the end of the year from making money from cool projects for great schematics the Co-op can vote on where all of the extra money, if there is any, goes to.
1. A Party
2. A Charity
3. Members merchandise or t-shirts
4. Everyone would have to vote on this.

Just remember enough money for a cool pedal and operations has to be left.
