tranny Q on FTM

in the original FTM, what where the gains used??

recomend any LOW GAIN, LOW NOISE trannys??

Doesn't really matter all that much.  You can use 2N5088/89, BC549, 2N3391, 2N3565, and probably even MPSA18.  I put a couple together with 5088/89 combinations and they sound great.    The good part of the FTM is the way the octave is derived and mixed in, and that doesn't really depend on the transistor hfe all that much.
