Gang Pot Question

The schematic show the pots with a rating of 30 and 50-I imagine not the norm-What can I do in this scenario-Thanks

If you have a dual gang 50 you can put a 47 resistor across the outer lugs of one and have a 50 and a ~24 [47+50divided by two]
 You can put k suffixes on all the above #'s
 You can create different value pots this way [adding R across pots outer lugs] and you can measure a pots resistance [value] between the outer lugs with a DMM...should read something like +/- 10% of the pots marked value which is close enough for use in most circs, can tweek rated value by altering the R value of the added resistor across the outer lugs.

So in other words to achieve what I need to do is obtain say a 100k gang and use resistors to get it to either 30k or 50 k?
