Hmmm, looks usefull I wonder if it is better than the one at runoffgroove?
it seems to have a few extra parts on it.

It delivers 5 volts, guys  We make 9V ckts! Maybe however you could mod it for 9v

it's more the design of how it fits on the board for me not the goods on it

I can think of better ways of getting 5V!  A simple fixed regulator will do the trick with a lot lower parts count.

Why not build one on perf? Use a machine pin socket stuck into another machine pin socket for the power and ground connections. That way when you damage the socket with little wires you can just replace it by plugging a new one in. A DIP-8 socket gives you 4 ground and 4 Vcc connections.

9V version:
- 2 caps 470uF,10uF
- 7809 regulator
- power jack
- power switch
- LED with resistor

...or...

adjustable version:
- 2 caps 470uF, 10uF
- 1 resistor 240 ohms
- 1 pot 5K
- 1 LM317 regulator
- power jack
- power switch
- LED with resistor

Take care,
