LED for ULTRA mod on DS-1

Hey y'all,

Just setup a DS-1 with SEM, ULTRA etc. mods.  Do you have any preference for LEDS for the ULTRA mod?  I'm using a normal (not super bright) 5mm LED but have some others.  Do different LED's sound different? (Yes, I will try some different ones, but wouldn't mind suggestions.)

when i've done that mod, i've always put the 3mm "check" LED from the pedal in the clipping section. then i use a fancy blue/white/orange/whatever one for the check LED.

anybody want to describe these mods? Ive got a DS-1 sitting here doin nothin. If I've just opened up a can of worms, please just point me in the right direction.
