Well I was having a great time with the sound of my FF clone plugged into my DIY Small Clone and then today the thing won't work

I haven't had a look inside yet but I hope I can bring it back to life.

The strange part is that it passes signal with the effect in but the actual chorus seems to have gone away. There seems to be almost a detectable chorus effect but not much if at all. Rate and Depth pots do nothing.

I'm bummed! The SC was sounding so good but for only two days!

I'll take a look inside tonight and see what's up. I have a second set of IC's so I can swap em in and see if an IC died.

By the way, can anyone tell me how to set the trim pot on the SC? I just turned it until it sounded good but could an incorrect setting have taken out one of the chips?

I want my Small Clone!!!

False alarm. I damaged one of the diodes while soldering and it must've lasted a couple of days before it died. It actually broke in two pieces when I was removing it. All is good now and I am back in business.

Still wondering if there is any scientific way to set the trim pot but there is only a narrow region where the chorus works so I guess it's not earth shaking.

Congrats. I'm building one for me too. I think you put the trimpot where you think sounds better for you.

I was gonna say, are you sure your battery isn't dead? :D
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.
