1n34 = 1n34a ?

just found few 1n34 today.just wonder if they are the same,i'm going to mod my sd-1 as my first project.......... anyone tried other trannys/diodes with good result ?

I don't think anyone could hear a difference between a 1N34 & a 1N34a, and in fact I doubt any small germaniums sound much different.
