What do the two trim pots i the Q-Tron do?

I am also
wondering if anyone knows some good mods for the MutronIII?
I have heard something about a trim pot for the envelope threshold on a Mutron...anyone have an idea how to pull that off?
I have both a Mutron and  Q-tron and would love to do some stuff to them to make them more versatile.
An ideas or help most appreciated.
Many thanks for any help!!!

The Mutron had a trimpot (or rather, "mystery resistor") to adjust the brightness of the LED to properly match the photocell so that it swept corrrectly.  Maybe that's what this is.  As well, pleasing downward sweep requires an adjustment of the start-point so that it doesn't begin from the absolute opposite end of the sweep range.  Maybe that's what the second one is for.  Perhaps it's a bypass/effect-balance volume control.

in fact, this one trimpot is factory-set to the highest frequency the ...tron is going to sweep to (= "stop"-frequency).
If that resistor is set smaller, the Fmax is going to be higher (you`ll not notice much of that through your average tube-amp/spkr/cabinet-combo),
but also the "start-frequency" will be higher, which overall would result in a different "sweep-feel" of the whole thing, like Mark is referring to.
