guys, this might be a stupid question, but i couldn't find a .005uf cap, so i'm using a .0047uf disk....will that work? thanks, jon :mrgreen:

Socket that spot and be sure to try different caps there. A ceramic disc will sound a bit grittier than a film in that spot, but I kind of like it. A larger cap essentially lowers and widens the range that is boosted. Try an .0068 or .01 and see if you like it.

sure didn't take long to build it...1st impressions were not-so-hot through my fender.  it sounds a hell of a lot better through my hiwatt. out of 16 trannies, i found 3 that seemed to work the right way. it's hard to tell what this thing's supposed to sound like. i'll wait 'till tomorrow when i can really crank up my amp. thanks for all the info. jon
