I think what Jeorge said is perfectly clear.

has anyone ever seen a Way Huge at GC or Sam Ash used?  They have a 30 day (15 for sam ash) no-questions asked return policy.  Even if you don't have the cash to spend on one...

Go or no Go?

Hey Jimbob,

Thats the reason why some people are so protective.

Hope your search for a project is successful.

I'm possibly drifting off-topic here, but famous musicians often have people coming up to them with tapes they have made, of music in that musician's style. One of them said, that was the last thing they wanted to hear, because (of course) they had heard it before.. what they wanted to hear was NEW styles. So perhaps that is why Mr Huge is urging people to go at least slightly original, rather than clone exactly, he just doesn't want to be bored! And, trying to clone (without the official circui!t) is one sure way to make somethg original, whether you want to or not,  believe me.   Wasn't the first fuzz the result of an attempt at a standard bost, with an accidental resistor sub giving way too much gain?

There's nothing too voodoo about them (WH pedals) - pick the best sounding '70s and '80s FX and clone them, or look at the WH knob configurations/labels, it's easy to equate one WH pedal to some other pedal or another.  I bet a lot of people on this board have built WH pedals and not even know it.  Tweak things using your ears, the tone will be exactly what you want all the time...
