Grounded Emitter/Collector Circuits for Terminal Strip Build

One of my favorite ways to assemble simple circuits is using terminal strips.  Radio Shack sells a five terminal strip with the center lug designed to screw to the (grounded) metal chassis.  This type of build requires a circuit with one transistor lead connected directly to ground.  So far, the only circuit I've seen for guitar with a grounded emitter is the Bazz Fuss (which I love).  The terminal strip method just makes everything look more vintage.  I also like the sturdy connections.  I'd like to build other simple amplifier circuits this way, but have had no luck looking for equivalent designs.  If anybody has any circuits designed for guitar use (buffer, boost, etc.) or could point me to a place where I could learn to design my own, I would be very appreciative.

Why does it require it?

I guess I don't understand... is this the standard terminal strips with lugs??? Can't you connect anything any way you want?

Yes, I'm using the standard five lug terminal strips.  The center lug is the one which connects to the chassis (which is grounded).  This eliminates a lot of unnecessary wiring and results in a very clean look.  Because the transistor leads won't span far enough to skip over the center (grounded) lug, common-emitter designs work very nicely for this type of construction.  I realize it is a little counter-intuitive to design the circuit around the construction method, but I liked the way my terminal strip Bazz Fuss came out so much I thought it would be fun to seek out more designs I could build that way.  Thanks for your response.

I would extend the leads if necessary. I've only seen one modern unit use terminal strips and I think it's the Orange Sunshine.
