So I was really bored today and decided to try and see if I could do a box from start to finish in a day.
after looking through my parts I decided on a LPB, easy to build and I had everything I needed here, except I had to double and triple up on some resistors to get the right values.
Here it be:

The longest part of the whole thing was the finishing of the box, and waiting for the clear to dry.

Nice work thumposaurus! :)
What kind of box is this?
And what did you used for the labels?
This is way to spend your day creative... 8)

Thanks,
the box is a "weather proof" junction box I got from home depot, it takes a little stripping and grinding to get them smooth and level but they are aluminum, easy to drill, cheap and right down the street.
I powdercoated the box white
The lables are water slide decals printed with an ALPS MD-1000 printer, I made the graphics in photoshop then transfered them baked in the oven for 10 mins or so to evaporate any extra water, then a very light coat of krylon clear to set it. After that was dry I added two or three heavier coats, and baked in tho oven again for another 10 mins.
Let it cool, then mounted everything.
The only downside to these boxes is that you really have to cram everything in, it's not completely smooth inside like a hammond box, but like I said they are cheap.

Nice job! :D

I think that's the first time I've seen a Bell Box used for a pedal. 8)

Take care,

The way you planned out the recessed areas is very cool looking, as well as the paint/decal job. Doesn't get much better then that!

I actually have two others that I've built useing different size/shaped of these boxes, one is a Big Muff clone in a larger one, but I'm waiting on parts so I can finish it, the other one is a 4ms Fuzz Jade it's in a round-ish box, but my brother is borrowing it right now so I can't take a pic of it.
here's the Muff

on it I tried filling in the recesses, with JB Weld, but it and the powdercoating kind of reacted to one another, I have some other stuff for filling metal called lab metal that I am trying out on another box.

Hard tp beat that Kwik Set Bondo...I think. Seems to dry hard, EZ sanding, and fairly non-reactive as far as I know.
Goes on pretty thick for detent fills [go heavy and might you might not even need two coats]. Sets up for sanding in less than a half an hour too.

You've probably tried bondo already anyway.
Accentuating the detents catches the eye.

I haven't tried bondo, because I'm not sure how well it would handle the heat needed to cure the powdercoating, I might give it a go on a scarp just to see. I have used bondo alot for other things and it's cheap and easy to buy/mix in larger quntities than those tiny tubes JB Weld comes in.

That's a pretty awesome box! :D I like it!
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.
