QuoteThis is the chip that allows the true sound of the guitar and musician's technique to shine through!
Mmmm OK

QuoteThe Original JRC4558D has been out of production for almost 20 years!
So?

QuoteMake a huge difference in your tone, buy these chips and convert yours and others vintage or late model Ibanez and Boss pedals to the real deal!
Change my tone eh? Depends how you use them. This guy is seriously shouting too much. Reminds me of those hyped-up microsoft presentations where you have some idiot on a stage going YEEAAAAH!!! and apparently that sells
Jeez Laweez what idiot will pay $5,- for a 4558. I can get them free!
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

there should have only 4 digi ,if it's a 4558 from 80's, right ?

This guy normally sells 2000 yr production JRC4558's for $25 for fifty. Maybe after seeing the $50 chip, he probably figures that he can get $250 for fifty eighties production chips.

It's nice, harmless, comic relief to see this. Like the audiophile forum that was comparing NE5532's. They agreed that one brand sounded better than the other because the legs were a stiffer and harder metal! I guess chips have acoustic resonance like guitars! This same forum said not to use sockets because they rob tone.

Save these ads and learn from them. They're a good study in marketing, good or bad.

those look like 90s production with a line drawn in... Well hey, it's $5 for a 30cent or thereabouts chip, right! He needs to figure out how to erase the "B" next. Great deals on ebay...

Johan

..hey..why dont we sand of the markings of all the chips we dont use ourself and sell them off as "BOOTEEEK-chip" ?...

"..dobedobedo...this one was pulled from a circa -97 fulltone..dobedo....."

...just kidding....but, sooner or later it will hapen....
