Hi all,
   
   I have two pots,one is 1k linear the other is 500k log.The linear pot is 1/2 watt,the log is a 1/4 watt-will this be an issue in using them together?

nope.  wattage rating is max power handling capability. As long as you don't exceed these ratings you won't have a problem.
