okay, im on my third stompbox after building 2 treble boosters, and i decided to build an opamp muff fuzz with a drive control, and it worked fine and sounded great on the bread board but when i put it on perfboard it just wouldnt work. so after a few weeks of careful de-bugging and audio probing i de-soldered everything and put it back on the breadboard. it worked just fine. so i tried again with the perfboard and it just will not work. anyone have the faintest clue what could be happening?

any help at all is greatly appreciated

something's touching a ground connection where it shouldn't be?

lightningfingers

well i audio probed it and even checked it w/ a voltmeter and everything seems to be as it should

The one I have been spanking is on perf, and doesn't do somethings with diodes to ground that it should, but I haven't been able to figure out why.  Just spank it as is.   8)

maybe you need to define what you mean by "it just will not work"  when you say you "audio probed" it and everything was good then you must be getting sound thru the whole circuit??  otherwise your audio probe test would have shown where the problem lies.  so if you are getting sound thru, then what is the problem???

Yeah, perf's fine for almost any circuit WGTP  :P
Make absolutely 100% sure your wiring is correct, and that you have no solder bridges anywhere. :)
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

okay found the problem there was a short on the ootput jack, the only part i didnt think of probing
