just so you know.

10k 20k and 100k's
From old 'toy' keyboards and old cassette players.
Trimming the PCB to size, around their base, with cracking across it, is the hardest part of useing them.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

that's awesome!!

i was able to get CTS to send me 10 samples, but it took forever -- they had to special order them from CTS Taiwan.

it was either that or pay $5 each from EHX.  :?

Hmmmm .... I've got maybe a hundred or so of the slide-pots (500k linear, not sure if dual or single gang) that I can sell for a good price (US$2 or so each, + shipping from Australia). I'll get some pics and further details of what I have if people are interested .... I'd sell these for about what they cost me.

very interested, mike, as long as they'll fit in a Micro Synth. i believe 500k is the value. looking fwd to seeing the pics.

I'll make some measurements, post here, and then offer pricing and stuff on the for-sale forum.

pulled some of those out of an old boombox - in general probably a great source for those...although needing to be checked for scratchiness.

mike, the pic didn't work for me -- got a 403 AND a 404 error! :)

then goe down to the slide pot

ian87

yup, that worked. :)

i don't think those can be used as a direct replacement in a Micro Synth, but should be cool for a new build.

thanks, mike!
