Tubescreamer with amp parts?

Going through my stash of effects I'm planning to rebuild the earlier ones. Since I got a little better at it the early builds make me ,well....a little ashamed(lol).
I was wondering if building a TS for example using parts usually found in amps,like orange drops or Mallory 150 caps, 1% 1/2W metal resistors,silver mica pF caps and the like would make an improvement.
Just a thought......or am I getting a little weird here?.Of course I would have to make a bigger PCB. :idea:  :?:

no idea how it would sound, but you could probably sell it for HUGE money on ebay with a few positive posts on H-C
