I'm working on my first project (a SD-9).
And well.. I actually connected the IC on the wrong way.
I guess this IC won't work anymore, but can anyone confirm this for me?
It is a TL072CP.

Hi I did the same with my tube screamer. But when I reversed it everything was fine. Of, course this does not prove anything. To be sure try it with another one (just any op amp.... I suppose).

Intru, it probably wont work if you flipped it around, but there's no harm in doing it and trying anyways.

Worst case scenario you now are the proud owner of a small black hunk of plastic.  Once you cook those suckers, they just sit there and do nothing.

If it's fine though, you just saved $.75 :)

Bin there, dun that - and the TL072 survived.

Intru

well.. mine didn't survive it:(
I first tested it with the old one, and it did do much (although it was more than it did before).
So I went to the store and bought another one, and it's working now.

Only problem now.. it isn't really distorting (and yes, i have the gain pot open). It do changes the sound, but to call it a sonic distortion...
