is a USA supplier.... I know Steve isn't in the UK, but on the other hand you can get a lot of other FX DIY stuff from him as well. I'm in Australia, and I shop at SmallBear!

Doesn't ratshack sell pad-per-hole? :? or maybe Maplin or something similar?
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

lightningfingers

maplin only sells stripboard, which sucks
they sell this wierd pad-per-3-holes stuff tho :?
i think ill order some from smallbear

I want stripboard :-D :-D

the only place i ever see it is extremely overpriced, from  mouser.  It seems amazing for building simple effects...

it really sucks. i thought it would help too, but its hard to use and if you get a solder bridge between the strips by accident it kills the copper so you have to start over

Everyone is different.. I love stripboard! (which is pretty cheap here in Australia from Altronics). I use a pop rivet  drill (about 1/8 inch) in a holder to cut the traces. And I scrape along with a sharp tool to break bridges. If you make a number of standard subcircuits on bits of stripboard (LFOs, tonestacks etc) then you can link up proto fx pretty easy. I can't use protoboards at all, I drop them, knock stuff out etc.
