No, the clicking surely comes from the LFO and most Electric Mistresses suffered with that problem to some extent. You could try increasing the power bypass capacitors.

Maybe try to isolate the power to the LFO section & put a 220 ohm resistor in series, with a 500 microfarad or so cap to ground on the LFO side of the resistor. Or maybe even split the 220 into two resistors in series and put TWO caps in. I havn't done this with this particular circuit, but it has worked elsewhere.
