hello there,  i had a local sheet metal shop bend several boxes in the style of the matchless hotbox a couple of yrs ago because several local guys wanted one of these.  i had about 30 of these done and have about half left---i just don't have the time to spend on building these anymore.  these are just slightly bigger than the hotbox size and are made from very sturdy .063 aluminum.  i would sell these in a package with a few of the most important parts to get you started:  power transformer, h.v. bridge rectifier, 6.3v filament bridge rectifier and 10000mf/10v filter cap, line cord, 2 very cool horizontal mount tube sockets.  with this and other parts you can get from mouser, etc. you can build any number of tube preamp circuits to drive your amp.  these tube preamps that run the tubes at normal h.v. operation sound much better than the type of preamp that simply runs a tube at starvation for tube coloration.  if anyone is interested, you can contact me at my email address rhinson@midsouth.rr.com.  i will offer this package to guys on this forum for $58 + shipping.  i will probably only sell 9 or 10 of these and keep a few for a rainy day when i'm tired of building some of the very cool pedals on this and the other diy sites/forums.  i can include a copy of the schematic if you want, but they are out there on several of the stompbox/amp sites like this one.  if anyone is interested, just email me and you can build one of these for much cheaper than the $300-500 that they're going for now.   thanks     rh
