I've built a screamer+ and it sounds great, but the drive and boost pots don't  seem to do much after 12 o' clock and if the drive pot is past about 9 o' clock, the boost doesn't seem to add very much.  Is this normal.  Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

The drive and boost pots should be audio/log.  Sounds like you used linear pots.

That's what I thought, but I can't find a 250k audio pot anywhere.  I really need a 16mm pot to fit in my enclosure.  Does anyone know where I can get one? Thanks

You should be able to get a 16mm 250k log pot as a guitar volume or tone control. 250k is standard for single-coil pickups. Curiously, some manufacturers use 250k lin for volume and 250k log for tone.

Actually, I just had a thought.  If i have a 500k audio taper pot and I put it in parallel with a 500k fixed resistor, shouldn't that get me pretty close to what I want?

A way to simulate log taper on a lin by adding resistors?
You wouldn't get a smooth curve, but at least it have usable taper in it's shafts rotational range?
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I was fretting over the fact that I didn't have any 250ka pots, then it occured to me(some time later) that I've got a bunch of them left over from guitar work. I dug a couple out, sprayed a little DE-ox-it in them and VIOLA! I even had a spline shaft style knob that matched the existing two knobs, & I was in business.
