hey... i am trying to build the 4ms phaser but it's not working... i've tried their toubleshooting stuff but i can't seem to find the problem... with the blend pot down i get singnal just fine but if i turn it up it cuts the volume alot and doesn't phase at all... where should my next step be?

Sounds like the blend circuit works since you get clean sound at one end of the pot...

turn it all the way the other way (where you get no sound) and start tracing with an audio probe..  also look for the obvious stuff (no idea what their troubleshooting docs say)... look with a magnifying glass for solder bridges, cold solder joints, caps in the wrong way, etc...

also - make sure that you are getting voltage where you should be getting voltage (and ground where there should be ground)...  make sure you're not shorting there.

all my voltages look right... the wiring looks fine... no bad traces... i've tried the audio probe but i trace the signal through the blend pot to the ic and then i'm not sure where else to look...?

does the 3 leds blink??

play with the hieight trimpot and height pot, also with the ring trim pot and the ring pot.

check carefully the soldering side to see if you did solder together pads that shouldn't make contact.

check carefully all the wires in the pcb and in the pots it could be a bad solder joint

yeah... all the leds blink along with the speed... it seems like i can bearly hear a little bit of swooshing in the background... i can hear the difference the pots make if i turn the amp up real loud but i don't really hear much guitar signal...
