Socket chip and use a JRC4558/NE5532/OPA2134   etc etc ....
Change R34 to 100ohm
Change R35 to 10k  (  808 style output
)
Change the tantalun 0.22uf caps to poly/metal film ( C11 & C? next to jack sockets & next to chip )

Change one 1N914 diode to a 1N4001 ( I like the sound of this one! )

Change the pair of "NP 1uf electro's" to 1uf poly/metal film

Then any of the "gain mods" at GEO and read "Technology of the tube screamer" - well worth a good read !

You should also have a look at Jack Orman's Fat mod http://www.muzique.com/lab/fatt.htm and www.singlecoil.com has some good info about making any ts sound like the original 808.

Here's what the board looks like. From there, just follow the basic TS mods the others have listed.
