Neutron Queries....again

Sick of me yet?  O.k. here it goes:

1)I understand a pot is a variable resistor but what is a trim pot (trimpot)?  From searching this site people seem to suggest a 5k Ohm trimpot in for Rx, can you all verify this.  

2)Under optional parts it lists Optn'l Incductors 680 uH, will I need these & if so where in the circuit?

3)I think I understand this but wanted to double check.  On the PCB diagram it shows a block with 'Dual Voltage Supply Connection', this is only connected if I use dual batteries dual ac supply correct?  Since I'm building mine with single DC supply I just connect the female adapter plug (for the supply) terminals to where bat(+) & bat(-) are on the diagram right?  If so what is the Input stereo lug for?

Thanks in advance for the help, my parts should be here by next week then I'm giving it a shot.
