I've been experimenting with the 1 band parametric EQ.
I built an SD-1 Front end on the board, the same 386 supplying  power for all OA's.
Quite the interesting player. 2 Ge's I salvaged tonight, and a Red LED, with the Gain set low, and the EQ dialed in, it delivers tone and strong well defined bass response. The low strings on my LP with strong tendancy to 'bass woof', had that problem exised, the bass volume at speaker was greater than usual with no speaker struggling, [these testers Are Old Speakers and will 'rattle', Or sound good]
I think I was tuning the 1 meg to let the cutoff more in the mids, was kind of set up sounding like a TS, much more usable and likable bass though, hard to describe it, solid, tanky...
Can be dialed muddy, the knobs threw me for a time, I'm getting the hang of them now.
Then I put a Minibooster in front of it, and almost wrote another chapter...lol.
The thing I portend should Metalize nicely with the PEQ, is a Buffered Wasp,  or a  BF.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
