I want to do a 3 Legged Dog, and have a chip NTE4049, the NTE site shows this chip as sub for CD4049ube, but no data available...Hmmm
 Being a 'perfer', It certainly looks like an easy build, however without the pinout for this chip, it would require tracing through the PCB layout to figure the connections...Hmmm, many more steps = many more chances for errors to occur.
 Double D sounds cool, I want to try this chip in a different build though.

googled "cd4049 .pdf" and a few links down the page was;
http://www.ee.washington.edu/stores/DataSheets/cd4000/cd4049.pdf

the UB indicates that it's an inverting type, the E indicates it's temperature range.

I bought a supposed sub for a CD4049 that turned out to be a buffered chip instead of the unbuffered UBE...and as RG pointed out...it won't work.

Anyone ever use one of these to any benefit?
 I used mine in the Double D. and it seems to work fine...maybe I have an UBE but dont know it, or a problem with the Double D. But it does sound quite like the clips...???
