you'll have to cut/paste that, i think.
Im pretty sure these are old capacitors...the markings say:
G.I.+
222091
56M15V
6450

Haven't done any experimenting yet.  Are they just old, crappy, electros, or something cool?

Hal

nobody?

Welll....they are caps, and they sound pretty good :-D

Still, just curious, anyone know if they're electros or oil whatevers or what?

Im pretty sure the capacatince is pretty high, prob. around 50-100 uf ?  Maybe thats what the 56M means...and probably 15 volts...(just a guess, but my meter said it took a while to fill and held voltage for a while...)

We're sorry, but this page is currently unavailable for viewing.

Old markings, I'd say 56uF and 15V.  M used to stand for micro.

If they are old electros, they ain't worth using.  But, can't see them so... :?:

yea, yahoo's weird like that...they dont like people linking directly to the picture...but it'll work if you copy and paste it or something.

Not a great pic, but they're about 3/4 of an inch long, covered in heat shrink tubing, and silverish in color.

Ok, I've eaten roadkill (kangaroo tail stew) but, I draw the line at using old electrolytics.

ah ha... works now... that's an annoying trick, Yahoo...  still can't shed any light on it for you though.  Sorry!

My money's on electros.  They're big by todays standards for 56uF, but that's no surprise!

To be honest, I've never seen an oil filled cap, so I'm no help!
