This might be the most incredible day of my career. As everybody knows, i'm a working/gigging musician, from Patagonia, Argentina, who builds his own toys, in the search of the perfect tone.
There are lots of things i cannot get in here, and the pedals i use, were built because i couldn't buy/get the original ones. ( but i don't just clone...they end up being unusually different from what they were suppossed to... :twisted: ).
Paul told me he was going to send me a AD633 chip to build a ring modulator as it was impossible to get in here.
And today i got it!!!!!!!!  :shock:  :twisted: . I'm so happy!!.
Maybe it means nothing for a lot of people, but it's really important for me. It shows the there's people in this world who cares, and maybe we can build a better world after all.
Wish i could travel to australia some day, and buy some of his unbelievable stuff, and of course...meet him in person. Thanks Paul. You really brought light to my day!!. Thaaannkkksss!!!!! :lol:

It was hard to believe when people in this forum spontaneously reached out and gave not just knowledge and advise, but also send me components as a gift  :shock:

As you say, maybe it's little or nothing for some people, but for me it's just like...(can't find the words)...well, makes you regain a lost faith.

Stompboxes, isn't that what brought the USSR down? Electro-Harmonix started having pedals built there and before you know it, Soviet era communism was dead. Now we got china making guitars, I suspect they are next.

Well, people have given me some pretty good stuff free at times (like the person in Europe who came across with some out-of-production microprocessors that I needed for my quad rack MIDI_CV convertor that I manufacturer!) so... ya kind of have to balance it up! :wink:
incidentally the neighbours at the back of my place just gave me 3 cartons of books rather than throw them in the recycling bin, got half a dozen worth reading, half a dozen for friends, and $50 from a book dealer mate for the rest! Keep stuff moving, is my rule.
