....i found, among numerous resistors, caps and diodes, a transistor. i dont know wether its a FET, JFET, MOSFET, infact any help would be appreciated. The part number is SCR2140.

Also, i found a tiny transformer, and i mean TINY. Its about 10x7.5x5mm and just has 0018 written on the top, anthing interesting i can do w/ this?

cheers

not finding anything on google about that trannie....try plugging it into a multiface, and see what happens :-D :-D

That transformer is likely for taking the 6v battery that comes in the film cartridge, and turning it into a honking big high voltage pulse that will power the flash and generate lots of light, fast.  The SCR is likely just that - a silicon controlled rectifier.  Look at any "color-organ" from the old disco days and you'll see that these were used to control lights.

thanks guys!!

and THATS why there was a 330v cap........
