OK, heres a piccy of my Easyvibe ready to be boxed. First thing bigger than the Nurse Quacky and only the third pcb I ever made. Worked first time as well  :o

What LDR did you use?  Looks really nice.

Great job!

I'm just "rediscovering" my Easy Vibe - it's a fantastic sounding circuit!

you find the led/ldr combo works w/o light shielding?

Torchy

Thanks, bit more complicated than fuzz etc but turned out ok

The LDRs are a job lot I got (bag of 40) from ebay. Go down to ~7k and work ok. Needed to cover the whole thing while playing with the drive preset but as long as the box is lightproof I think it'll be ok.

Right, now for the Tremulus

You'll need to encase them somehow. I made the mistake of not shrinkwrapping them also. Till you can isolate them from one another almost 100% you'll never hear the circuit as intended. The 2 LEDs(for OA bias?) that are by themselves will mess up the sweep worse than anything. If you use an LED for an on/off indicator, that will wreak havoc also. I've got mine(LED/LDR combos) all sealed with electrical tape, but it has to be checked all the time as it is always coming off, and I really screwed up not doing it right in the first place(in a hurry).

Thanks for the tips. Once Ive got the box sorted I'll isolate them properly as you suggest. Never thought of sealing the bias LEDs though - ta  8)

If you seal the others properly the bias ones won't matter. My problems arose from the fact that I didn't properly seal the LED/LDR combos. So then every light source becomes a problem.
