for some reason i'm on this kick to find out how to build a pedal that can have 2 loop what work independently and together at the same time also with a master bypass.

my idea came in when i wanted to add a boost pedal to my board, i'd like to use it with a distortion pedal.  i wanted to be able to run the boost, kick on the distortion together, then be able to cut them both off in one step.

maybe there is a simple way to do this.  i'm new to all of this.  hope the description is not confusing.....

What you're asking is not clear.

A/B/Y generally refers to a pedal that takes an input and sends it to either one of two outputs (a/b) or both (y).

A bypass looper has an input, an output and a loop in which you could put both a boost and a distortion.

Alternatively you could build a double bypass looper with a master loop; this would allow you to turn both on or off together, but also to turn each off individually. This would require three footswitches but you could fit one in a 1590BB enclosure.

I guess what he wants is a FX looper. A/B not A/BY. imean he wants a A loop, B loop and bypass.
