i noticed that the distortion i'm currently working on

the schematic (1) says 47K resistor but on shcematic (2) on same project it saying to put 4.7K resistor...sh*t..

is this the reason why my distortion does have any distortion?

Without knowing what schematics you're referring to, it's impossible to say.

I like to start with the big R value one, and leave leads long enough I can tag [parallel] a smaller resistor or resistors across it.
 This way I can get any R value that is less than the big one easily, quickly, using test clips to find the value I like there...or socket...
 Different Possibilities...
