Just listened to Levee Town for the gazillionth time.  He does a lot for Hiatt's sound, too--instantly recognizable.  I went to his home page, and he has a couple of gear pages and some playing tips--nice to see.  Even rarer is to see a guy who is clearly a player's player who has such a great song sense.

So, when is runoffgroove going to do a Demeter emulater?

Amen to Landreth's tone.
The  previous 2 albums to Levee Town are a must buy.

One of those players where you can never decide after listening to them whether you should dedicate your life to the instrument, or just sell your damn equipment and go into insurance or plumbing contracting.

Him and Jack DeKeyzer and Brad Paisley and Bill Kirchen and Junior Brown, and, and, and...
Does anyone know if Tim's is hiring?

Landreth and and Jr. Brown are two of my favorites too.

If I had to make a of choice of a guitar player whom I would have to play and sound like for the rest of my life it would be, without hesitation, Johnny A.

It's funny, I had no CD of Sonny Landreth until 2-3 weeks ago. I bought "The Road We're On"

Until them, Eric Sardinas and a few others were my slide guitar heroes.

Since the first time I listened to Landreth, he became my favorite on slide. And I LOVE his sound so much that I decided to try to get his sound.

Btw, I decided to check Landreth's site and then his CDs after listening what he had done on another guy's CD, (can't remember wich one...)

I won't even try to play like him
