A circuit that can be installed on the guitar it self and when you flick a switch it will downtune the signal from the pickups without detuning the actual strings. I saw this in a video where the Variax acoustic guitar was downtuned by using a switch and the quality of the effect was very good. It was a believable downtune. Where can I find more information and or a schematic?

sounds intensely complicated.  DSP would be involved... digital pitch-shifting has become quite an amazing technology but it's not much fun to design or assemble.  you will most likely be better off simply purchasing a variax or a working pitch-shift pedal/rack device.

Yeah you are probably right. I dont have that kind of money right now so I guess I have to wait on it.
