i have a chain of effects with about 15 pedals but the only one that affects my tone is my moogerfooger ring mod. just being pluggewd into it on standby adds drive to my sound and causes a drop in my volume. to raise my volume bakc to a normal level id have to raise the drive on the moogerfooger which sounds nasty when im trying to play clean. i bought an ab switch to take the moog out of my loop, it took away the drive but leaves me with the same volume drop, and i can still hear the lfo droning up and down in the background as if it were still in my loop. please help me out.  here is an ugly diagram of how i set it up.

someone told me that i need a loop bypasser. is there a way i can turn this ab switch into a loop bypasser??

Hrm.  Wah pedals often have input/output impedance issues, and so do tuner pedals.  You generally can't use them next to each other (or fuzz faces) without having issues; most famously, you can't plug a Crybaby into a Fuzz Face as when you turn them both on the signal disappears!!

Maybe the Moogerfooger also has impedance issues, tho it seems unlikely considering the heritage and price tag.  I'd start by figuring out which combination of pedals is causing you grief.  If all is well with the Moogerfooger until you put the Wah after it, then you've figured out you can't plug the wah directly after the moog.

The AB box isn't helping because the output impedance of the moog is still loading down the input of the wah.  :-(  I'd guess that it's the wah after the moog that is the issue.

Something as simple as putting a Boss or Ibanez pedal between the moog and wah (or moog and tu2, or both!) will probably solve your issues I reckon, give it a go  :-)

hey man, thanks for the reply. my wah is a crybaby 535q and my tuner is a boss tu-2 tuner. ill try out your suggestion. if the ab swithc isnt good enough, then what would be?, is there a way i can modify my ab switch to bypass my moog completely?
