I have this Hammond plastic enclosure that someone threw in on an ebay purchase of several Hammond 1590B enclosures. Anyhow, I used it once for a circuit and then gutted it. Recently, I had a need for a pedal that would send a signal from my guitar either to my pedal board or to my digital effect unit and have one output to my amp. So I decided that this plastic enclosure would work perfect for me. But, I had three existing holes drilled in it on the top surface. So I created some graphics with AutoCAD and printed that out. Then it was glued to the top of the enclosure. On top of that is some clear plastic, the same stuff that I used for my Spitfire clone, which is the plastic that protects the posters in those poster board frames. I don't know what type of plastic it is, but it you're careful drilling it, it makes a nice protective cover. (To cut it, you just score it well and use some pliers to carefully snap it at the score lines) This got fastened to the top of the enclosure with four small screws. It's not perfectly cut and I was in a hurry and cracked the plastic in a couple of places, but I'm not going to bother redoing it or anything. But, if you take your time, it can be really good looking and it is durable if you use the right precautions.

Just thought I'd share that idea with y'all for yet another alternative for labeling boxes. I'm going to try out the looper box this morning, and hopefully, it will do exactly what I want it to do. (keeping my fingers crossed on possible ground loops). I used a bi-color LED (red/green) which is switched with the 3PDT switch. Red corresponds with the text in red and green with the text in green.

I like it, Paul! I also like the used look that the cracked plastic gives it... sortof like you've been hauling that thing all over the country for 30 years :D
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.
