Maximum recomended input on a jcm 800?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might now what the maximum INPUT to a marshall jcm 800 would be? Or how i might be able to figure this out?

Well, I can tell you how to make it survive that, but I'm not sure it will in the stock configuration.

naw ok i was being sarcastic. sorry. in my original post i meant what is the maximum input through the guitar input jack. not the mains line in.

like if i built a booster that ran off +/- 15 v so that i could have a 30 v peak to peak output instead of a 9 v peak to peak .

would the amp be ok? what is the max i could put into this amp? im assuming the first thing to go would be any electrolytics in the preamp section that might only be rated for 25v or so. but i guess i would have to open it up and check to really find out.

looking at the schematics at //www.schematicheaven.com It shouldn't have any electrolytics in the input section. I think overloading the fisrt tube would be the first thing to happen.
