The most recent Mouser catalog advertises 12mm pots, so I placed an order for a few so that I can have a source for small audio pots other than Small Bear.

No disrespect to Small Bear, but my days in Silicon Valley prevent me from feeling comfortable with a single source for any part.

Anyway, they're great. They'd be good for those of you who make those boxes with zillions of knobs on 'em.

They have a "D" shaft, but my Daka-Ware knobs with setscrews fit fine.

What would be nice would be if Mouser got hip to the fact that not everyone likes detents in their 16mm audio pots!

That's great news.  I have been looking to put tiny circuits into tiny boxes.  That is a bonus.  I will check themout.

It's good to see that they work and all, but man, at $2 apiece those are PRICEY!  I'll stick to my futurlec ones at 50c apiece, which I'm guessing are 16mm.  They also fit standard push-on-knobs :)

I wish Mouser would sell the 16mm audio taper pots without the detents.  I mean, it's not that they're bad, because they'd certainly make it harder for the volume knob to get knocked out of position, but if you're building a commercial pedal, customers tend to not like it.

There may be a way to de-detent those pots by removing the back cover of the pot and snipping off whatever it is that "clicks" into the detent positions.

Orrr...maybe if we all email Mouser and ask them to stock them they'd listen...they seem to be a really reasonable company ;)

Nice!  I never saw such inexpensive pots.  Any other bargain secrets you wanna let out of the bag?
