Haven't built anything in a while, so I decided to build up some momentum with something simple. Slapped the Fetzer together on a piece of perf and really like it. I think it ranks right up there with the MosFet Boost, MicroAmp, LPB1 and Rangemaster, as far as part count / build simplicity to overall utility ratios go. It's one of those *Leave it on and use your guitar volume* pedals. It works really well into both the *Fender* and *Marshall* style channels of my Rivera Quiana. Blues approved for sure. Haven't boxed it yet, but this one is a keeper.

Thanks ROG!

Thanks, Kerry!

I defer all praise over to Brian, Leo and RCA.

Agree, I built one a few months ago and its worked well with quite a few of my amps. My latest aquisition is a lab series L5, 100 watts, 2x12 (for a cheap $60.00 at a pawnshop), anyway, the Fetzer works really well on it too, its warm, not buzzy and even my lead player wants one after playing it (and he's a O.D. , Distortion freak....). Extremely cool for the small parts count, I'd be tempted to eventually maybe add another stage and see how it sounds.

With all the dozen's of blues songs that start "Gonna get up in the morning" , its a fact that blues musicians are apparently the only ones that actually get up in the MORNING...

The Uno is simply 3 Fetzers in a row with a tonestack between the 2nd & 3rd stages.

I came across an SD-1 mod on this forum, where the guy replaced the bipolar transistor buffer with a JFET buffer.

Linking these two threads in my head came up with the idea of replacing the buffer stage of the SD-1 with a Fetzer Valve. This is applicable too to a TS-x also.

This would increase available gain and at low drive levels would add a touch of the Fetzer itself.

RDV, I really liked the sound clip of the Uno.  "Now I need one"    (perhaps most of you may know that UNO is the spanish for ONE).

By the way, do you have a web page with the FX you've built? i.e. www.fatboyeffects.com?

No, but I'm certainly thinking about it as my band finally starts to slow down(thus giving me some time).
