hello there, i just built the deluxe version of the tremulus lune (from the 4ms/commonsound site)--the big board version with the extra LFO and i would like to know where on the extra LFO circuit i could insert a switch and cut it off.  the depth control on these LFO's does not give zero depth when all the way down so that you still have one slightly affecting the other even when turned all the way back.  i would just like to switch the LFO off totally and turn it on when i need it.   i know how to do this with tube amp trem circuits but i can't relate it to opamps, so any help you guys could give to switch off the aux. LFO circuit would be appreciated.      thanks            rh

I'd put the switch at the point where the aux LFO connects to the main board's 'depth 2'.

hello there,  yeah in terms of dissconnecting the aux. lfo from the rest of the circuit that's kinda what i thought.  i guess i was also asking about how you turn off the oscillator as well.  is it ok to switch the output to ground, or lift the .01 cap from input to output, etc.?  what sort of method to turn off the lfo is best? i'm trying to sort of relate this to the way tube tremolo circuits are turned on and off and if the methods can be similar. thanks for any help/ideas.    rh

Which version of aux lfo --the one to modulate or the one to add? I built the one to add and turning down the depth does effectively take either lfo out of the circuit--a switch is not necessary on mine.

Switching the LFO output to ground is not going to 'turn off' the LFO. The best way to turn it off is to cut the power that feeds it. If you do this, you may still need to disconnect the output. A DPDT switch will handle both tasks.

Excuse my ignorance, but I can't locate the "big board" version.  A little help? (And does it incorporate all the mods?)

D'oh!  Okay, that should have been apparent.  I guess the other stuff is all off-board.

Thanks for the pointer.

Hey, can anyone tell me what the things on the board labeled as 103 are?

Yes, those are 0.01uf caps. I was confused at first as well. The first two numbers are the significant digits and the third the multiplier. I believe that the base measurement is pico-farads so it would be 10000pf or 0.01uf. I may be wrong with the pico-farads but I know that it is 0.01uf (it worked in mine).

Capacitors - in that circuit, they're the timing caps for the LFOs, so use polys or MKTs - (103 -> 10nF or 0.01uF).
