funny story.......

ok so heres the deal, last week i jeted of to the sunny spanish island of majorca for a week long holiday, i arived and hoped i would find some cool enclosures in the local shops and nothing more.

one night we where in a restuarante and this irish guy was playing guitar in the corner and i noticed that he had alot of gear, racks and the sort...

thinking that he surly didnt bring all this equipment with him  i asked him if he new of a guitar shop around. to my surprise he turned out to be the owner of the restuarante and he went behind the bar and five minutes later he came back and gave me a small piece of paper with an address
on it .

the next morning
after a long talk with a taxi driver about weather he knew where the shop was or not and a twenty minute drive, i found myself standing in the biggest guitar shop i had ever been in, way bigger than any back in Dublin.

it was so cool they had so many effects i couldnt believe it, so after looking around i decided to try out some pedals ..... after about five units i saw the electro harmonix frequency analizer i had never seen this on the market back home so proceeded to try it out.

the shop assistant plugged in the unit and it was so cool, knowning that i had to go soon i thought i might aswell try out one more pedal so i picked out the MXR phase 90 the guy plugged in and nothing, no sound what so ever, after a few minutes the assistant who turned out to be a dj and knew nothing about effects went and got the only english speaking person in the shop.

after i explained what was going on the man dissappeared for about ten minutes and then came back out weilding the phase 90.
he indicated to me to smell it. SNIFF SNIFF. OH yeah that burnt out smell of metal and plastic .

So he (the dj) had plugged in the adapter a 40 volt used previoulsy to power the freq. analizer and melted the whole thing!!!

it was so bad and the language barrier didnt help..... any way i bought the electro harmonix and im really happy with it and i knew i shoulda madethem an offer for the broken phase 90 i dunno maybe 10 euros!!

Is the freq analyzer a reissued vintage effect or a new effect being marketed under the E-H banner?  I'm just curious.

I think its new, it was brought into the EH line in 2002, i havnt read anything that says its a reissue.
