OT: Pixies!

I saw the Pixies playing a sold out show tonight in Amsterdam!!
I'm too young to know them from their heydays, but they still rock!! :twisted:

Anybody else who saw them during their recent tour?

He sure can!!

I saw Frank Black & the Catholics earlier this year, which was also pretty cool. They play some sort of country/rock and they have the coolest, most flamboyant guitar player ever. His name is Rich Gilbert (who used a Klon Centaur btw , it was right under my nose and also the first time I saw one in person ). He also plays a mean pedal steel.

I was actually fortunate enough to follow them on every stop of their north american tour...needless to say that was a very cool experience since joey santiago was the primary reason i picked up my first guitar.  I've got tickets to a handful of their shows in the states for their next time around.   And yes, Frank can still scream, he hasn't lost a thing, none of them have...

Wow, I get a big kick out of reading that!    I've known Rich for years, from his days working in a Boston area record store. Rich has played with many legendary bands from this area. I tried to take lessons from him, but he told me I didn't need them and should just go play!
