Ive looked over some past threads about the diff opinions of the  millinium varieties. You all do this or use the 3pdt? Opinions about the other milliniums?

I say: "3PDT, use 'em if you got 'em" for easy indicator LED wiring.
I've got some large toggle 2 x DPDT I also used.

Some historical perspective:

The Millenium bypasses were developed at a time when the only available 3PDTs were quite expensive. For instance, the first 3PDTs I found cost me $20 each, in quantities of 50 at a time.

In the years since then, the price has dropped on 3PDTs to where they are only slightly more expensive than  DPDTs. This is largely because there are far-East makers who have cloned 3PDTs and made them available cheaply. I suspect the wholesale price of a 3PDT is under $3.00.

It's really a question of economics - do you have or can you get 3PDTs cheaply? Would you rather run hookup wire to a complicated switch than build a small electronic circuit? If the answers are yes, get the 3PDTs. If the answers are no, use the various Millenium Bypasses.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Personally, the answer is which is more reliable?  The common blue 3PDT or a good DPDT?  I find the Carling DPDTs to be more reliable, so I use those with the Millenium.

I recently built a 'Rodent' from GGG and used the built in Millinium1+ with very good results. I took the trouble however to find the recommended JFET(2N5485). There's no lag at all and works perfect.
